Choosing the Venue

One of the most exciting part of planning your wedding is looking for venue. When we got engaged, we knew we wanted a wedding that would represent us as a couple. From the start I wanted a garden wedding ceremony.

Attending bridal fairs was a big help. We were able to meet representatives from different wedding venues and suppliers.

When we became boyfriend-girlfriend couple, I started attending their Sunday services at Grace Christian Church and at his best friend's at CAFÉ (Christian Agape Fellowship) located at Vito Cruz, Manila.

Although we grew in different religious belief and traditions, we never had serious arguments about it.

I was hoping to have the ceremony at GCC but I understand that they have rules and requirements to follow. One, both the bride and the groom must have received Christian baptism and have been attending their services for a period of time before they get married.

We looked for venues that has a separate area for the wedding ceremony.  There were a lot of interesting venues. I was torn between the Glass Garden and Oasis Manila (http://www.oasismanila.com/).

We also considered EDSA Shangri La Hotel for our wedding reception in case we would have the ceremony at GCC.

The first time I saw Oasis, I knew it would be a perfect place for our event. I believe it’s more accessible to our guests coming from North and South and mostly in Quezon City. The venue and has enough parking space too. Most of all, they have a separate garden for the wedding ceremony - a beautiful backdrop for our wedding photos.

We just had our food tasting at Oasis Manila a few weeks ago. I’ll share it on my next post. So, what do you think of our wedding venue? Have you been to Oasis Manila?
